Reading Assignment

Read chapters 4-6 by Friday 13 February.

    You have warmed my heart and open a flood gate of sympathy. You all may have until 16 Feb to get the readings done. Questions should be easy to do.......read them ahead and answer as you go...

    If you do not remember the layers of the atmosphere - review them.
    If you do not know the difference between biosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere, cyrosphere, geosphere - review these.
    If you don't know the cycles -carbon, sulfur, nitrogen, phosphorus, water - review them
    Do:
    Review 2, 3,7,15,18,20
    Critical thinking:2 , 3, 6

    Chapter 5
    Make sure you read the guest essay
    Review questions:3,7,17,
    Critical thinking: 1,3,4,7

  9. Number 15. What are the four components of biodiversity? Is the answer...Variety of different species (species diversity), genetic variability among individuals within each species (genetic diversity), variety of ecosystems (ecological diversity), and functions such as energy flow and matter cycling needed for the survival of species and biological communities (functional diversity).

  10. yeah megan what nat said is the answer, it was worded a little different but it says it pretty much word for word on p.82 on the right hand side. Also, natalie for number 15 i put Genetic Diversity, Species Diversity, Ecological Diversity, and Functional Diversity. Idk if that's right but I kinda needed help with that too!

    Number twenty on chapter four can be found on page eighty-two. It's under the heading "How Much of the World's Net Rate of Biomass Production Do We Use?" The question is worded weird.
